IAN QUINN

Managing Partner; VP, Sales & Marketing

Ian Quinn, B.Sc., co-founder of VISTA Disability Management Inc., has worked with VISTA since its inauguration in 2004. Ian’s career began working as an insurance adjuster with a non-standard auto insurance company handling accident benefits under Bill 59. He continued on this path for four years before leaving to become the Sales and Marketing Manager at a large disability management company. Later, after seeing an opportunity for creating greatly improved services, he teamed up with Sven Hartman to establish VISTA. In the eight years since its launch, Ian has helped VISTA to grow rapidly from a small local office with one employee, to a leading national provider of disability management services. In his spare time, Ian enjoys dinners with his family, golf games with his friends, exercise and travel.

SVEN HARTMAN

Managing Partner, Director, Rehabilitation Services

Sven Hartman is a Registered Occupational Therapist in British Columbia and Ontario and is Managing Partner at VISTA Disability Management. He co-founded VISTA with Ian Quinn in 2004. He received his Honours Bachelor’s of Arts Degree from the University of British Columbia prior to receiving his Health Sciences degree in Occupational Therapy from McMaster University in 1999. His current clinical practice includes management of chronic conditions and evidenced-based Functional Capacity Evaluations. Experienced in a wide array of clinical areas, Sven assumes both management and clinical roles at VISTA.

Sven is a recent convert to bluegrass music and plays guitar and mandolin. He is a Cub Scouts leader and enjoys kayaking, cycling, tennis, especially with his wife and 3 children.


Dr. ALBERT CHENG, MD, FRCPC

Medical Director

Dr. Cheng is licensed to practice medicine in the Province of Ontario by the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario. He completed residency training in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at the University of Toronto, and received Specialist certification and Fellow designation by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada in 2005. He is a Physiatry Consultant at Providence Healthcare and Toronto Rehabilitation Institute in Toronto, Ontario. He is an instructor in the Division of Physiatry, Department of Medicine, at the University of Toronto.

His professional interests and expertise pertain to neurologic rehabilitation (including serving as the Medical Lead for a large interdisciplinary outpatient stroke rehabilitation program), clinical electrodiagnosis, spasticity management as well as numerous facets of musculoskeletal medicine, including the evaluation and management of injuries resulting from workplace and motor vehicle accidents. From a recreational standpoint, Dr. Cheng is an avid golfer, tennis player and skier. He enjoys wine tasting/collecting, travel, live theater and is a movie buff.


DR. DENNIS LIU

Senior Clinical Specialist

Dr. Dennis Liu D.C. is a graduate of the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College (CMCC) in Toronto. He also holds undergraduate and graduate degrees from the University of Toronto. He has worked with VISTA Disability Management for 7 years both in evaluation and rehabilitation capacities. He is the principal lecturer and course coordinator for the undergraduate Neuroscience program and teaches clinical education at the CMCC. In his spare time, Dennis enjoys dragon boating and other water sports and spending time with his family.


SUSAN NOWAK

Operations Manager

Susan Nowak is the Operations Manager at VISTA.  She joined  VISTA  in early 2005 and was instrumental in establishing its infrastructure processes, procedures, and protocols. She developed her skills as a planner and instructor at Celestica prior to joining the VISTA team. Susan loves spending time with her family as well as  volunteering her time in the community. She has coached and managed many minor community sport teams as well as been a long time Relay for Life volunteer and participant.
