IAN QUINN
Managing Partner; VP, Sales & Marketing
Ian Quinn co-founded VISTA Disability Management with Sven Hartman in 2004. He began his career as an adjuster with a non-standard auto insurance company handling accident benefits under Bill 59. He continued on this path for four years before leaving to become the Sales and Marketing Manager at a large disability management company. Later, after seeing an opportunity for creating greatly improved services, he teamed up with Sven to establish VISTA. Ian has helped VISTA to grow from a small local office with one employee, to a leading national provider of independent third-party evaluations.
In his spare time Ian enjoys dinners with his family, exercise, travel, and golfing with friends.
SVEN HARTMAN
Managing Partner, Director, Rehabilitation Services
Sven Hartman is a Registered Occupational Therapist in British Columbia and Ontario and is Managing Partner at VISTA Disability Management. He co-founded VISTA with Ian Quinn in 2004. He received his Honours BA from the University of British Columbia prior to receiving his Health Sciences degree in Occupational Therapy from McMaster University in 1999. His current clinical practice includes management of chronic conditions and evidenced-based Functional Capacity Evaluations. Experienced in a wide array of clinical areas, Sven assumes both management and clinical roles at VISTA.
Sven is a convert to bluegrass music and plays guitar and mandolin. He enjoys kayaking, cycling, tennis, and spending time with his wife and 3 children.
ADAM GOLDFARB
Vice President, Strategy and Operations
Adam Goldfarb’s educational background includes a Masters in Kinesiology, Doctor of Chiropractic, Specialized Diploma in Medicolegal Expertise, and most recently an Executive MBA. He has been working exclusively in the IME industry since 2008, initially conducting IMEs before moving into Clinical Quality Assurance and Management. Since 2021, Adam has been working at an executive level in both Strategy and Operations. He has been with VISTA since 2023 and has played an integral role in growing and refining their operations while maintaining a rewarding team culture.
Adam is a passionate music and exercise enthusiast and enjoys dining and traveling with his wife and two children.
SUSAN NOWAK
Operations Manager
Susan Nowak is the Operations Manager at VISTA and has been part of the team since 2005. During this time, she has played an important role in the company’s growth, helping VISTA adapt to changes in technology, customer expectations, and the evolving demands of the industry.
Before joining VISTA, Susan built a strong foundation in adult education by developing and implementing training programs and leading project initiatives across a wide range of industries and business environments.
Outside of work, Susan enjoys spending time with family and friends, tending to her gardens, and walking local trails with her dogs.
Dr. ALBERT CHENG, MD, FRCPC
Medical Director
Dr. Cheng is licensed to practice medicine in the Province of Ontario by the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario. He completed residency training in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at the University of Toronto, and received Specialist certification and Fellow designation by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada in 2005. He is a Physiatry Consultant at Providence Healthcare and Toronto Rehabilitation Institute in Toronto, Ontario. He is an instructor in the Division of Physiatry, Department of Medicine, at the University of Toronto.
His professional interests and expertise pertain to neurologic rehabilitation (including serving as the Medical Lead for a large interdisciplinary outpatient stroke rehabilitation program), clinical electrodiagnosis, spasticity management as well as numerous facets of musculoskeletal medicine, including the evaluation and management of injuries resulting from workplace and motor vehicle accidents. From a recreational standpoint, Dr. Cheng is an avid golfer, tennis player and skier. He enjoys wine tasting/collecting, travel, live theater and is a movie buff.
